Broadmoor offers year-long paid positions to assist with the neighborhood's recovery efforts.  Fellows are employed by Americorps, and receive additional support from the BDC to help cover the cost of housing.

If you're looking for a fulfilling year of service, read on to see how you can apply to our Fellowship Program.

How to Apply:

Fellowships begin in August and continue through July of the following year.  In hiring new fellows, we look for a good match between the neighborhood's emerging needs and the applicant's interests and skill set.

Fellowship job descriptions for 2010-2011 will be posted during the spring of 2010.  We will be offering positions relating to:

  • Social Work
  • Community Development
  • Organizational Development
  • Real Estate
  • Education and Youth Programming
  • Community Space Planning and Programming

Please check back in the spring for specific job descriptions.  Applications will be accepted from the time of posting until April 2.  You will be notified of a decision by April 30.

Also, four of the six fellows hired this year had either volunteered previously in the neighborhood or completed summer-long internships in Broadmoor. If you are interested in a fellowship, it never hurts to come down to the neighborhood, get to know us, and volunteer!
